I just got back from 12 days in Prague, Bratislava, and Budapest. I spent two days sightseeing in Prague and then attended a conference in the city for six days (more on that later!). After the conference finished, I headed down to Bratislava for two days and Budapest for another two days.
Prague was historical and charming. Bratislava was unexpected and a wonderful surprise. Budapest blew me away. Of the three cities, I can’t wait to travel back to Budapest. I feel like I only skimmed the surface of Budapest…there is so much more I want to do there!!!
Also, where did July go? Didn’t we just celebrate July 4th?! I can’t believe it is August 1st this Friday!

Also, I’m with you on July. Where DID it go? I’m not ready for it to be August yet (my birthday month! I don’t wanna be 31!).

I’ve been to two of these cities but my photos are no where near as good as yours – now I know that I must visit Budapest, but only after buying a new camera! 🙂 Look forward to seeing pictures from Normandy – my mom used to live there and I really liked it there too!
Awwww thank you so much for the sweet words! I probably take 400-500 photos and only end up using 20-30 of them. It is all about taking the same photo on multiple settings 🙂 I’m really excited for Normandy! I’ve been there once before and my parents got engaged in Honfleur. Any recommendations?!
Well Normandy has so much to offer. I am quite interested in its historical connections with Britain, so I really enjoyed visiting the Bayeux Tapestry and I found the Arromanches-les-Bains to very interesting although quite moving too (it is one of the D-Day landing beaches). Further to the east is Rouen which was one of the first towns I ever visited in France and which amazed me with its very old and beautiful architecture. Honfleur must have been a wonderful place for your parents to get engaged – it is really very pretty – we used to often stay there before catching our ferry back home to England and it always provided the perfect end to our holidays. My mom lived further south near where Camembert cheese is made. This is a very quiet area with green rolling hills – it is lovely but perhaps a little too quiet for some. Sorry, I am waffling now… I hope you have a great time there! 🙂
