I spent one of my afternoons in Prague climbing to Prague Castle. In retrospect, I probably would’ve taken one of the many trams to the top. Regardless of how hot it was (I don’t do hot weather at all!), it was nice to meander the streets leading up to the castle. Prague Castle isn’t your traditional castle of one large building with towers. Instead, Prague Castle is a cluster of buildings on top of a hill overlooking all of the city. There are a few ticket options which allow you entry to a different number of buildings (I think 2 buildings, 5 buildings, and all the buildings). I would highly recommend splurging and buying the ticket for all the buildings. With the student discount, it cost me the equivalent of about $8.00 (175 CZK) and a regularly priced ticket was only $16 (350 CZK).
