I’m Back! (+ so much exciting news!)

Wow, wow wow…it feels like I’ve been away for so long! First: THESIS SUBMITTED! Officially no longer a student (for now) so it kind of feels really good not to have anything to do besides binge watch Parks & Recs. Also, how have I not watched this show before?! If you were ever wondering what I’m like in person…well, look no further than Leslie Knope. Overly ambitious, always excited about everything, future President of the United States :)

While I’ve been away, I’ve honestly had one of the best weeks of my life. I mentioned a few months ago that my sister and I applied to business school in Europe. To be honest, we only applied to 3 schools because after looking at around 12, these were the only schools in which we felt we would truly be happy to attend. Well, last Monday we both got into the University of Leeds and yesterday we both got into the University of Edinburgh!!! So now we have a dilemma: Leeds or Edinburgh?! Place your vote below! I’m so excited to be in Europe until September 2016 :)

I leave for Croatia FRIDAY (as in two days). After waiting over three months for my security clearance, it finally came through last Tuesday night. I’ll be honest, I was really worried I wasn’t going to get this clearance. If I didn’t have it by March 15th, my internship would have been canceled. Obviously I wasn’t going to say that on my blog (because I try to keep it pretty upbeat!) but it was such a relief for it to go through!

Off to finish packing! How did I accumulate so much?! Can’t wait to blog from Croatia this weekend. Thanks for all the kinds words of support and love this past week about my thesis and business school. I know many of you saw it on Instagram and all the comments put a smiles on my face. You all are truly the best! And if you’ve emailed me in the past 2 weeks, I’m finally starting to reply back to them so thanks for being so patient xoxoxo

  • Yay! Congrats again Jordan! You know my vote, Edinburgh! But either one you choice will be a great choice!

    • Thanks so much Christine :) We have officially decided on Edinburgh!!! So excited :) When do you come over to Europe again?!

      • Yay! So excited for you! I love Edinburgh and can’t wait to read all about your experience there! We will be in Germany and Austria in April :) So looking forward to a nice vacation!

    • Thanks girl! I am finally settled here and had my first day of work today :) Love it! And my sister and I officially decided on Edinburgh so semi-closer to you! We plan on heading over to Iceland so watch out!!!

  • AHHH!! Congrats! I am going to have to just live vicariously through you once you move to the UK :) I think either place would be good. But honestly Leeds might be better location wise because you are in the middle of the country…half way to Edinburgh and halfway to London. But either one would be great!! I loved Edinburgh and the coastline,,,just stunning, So you will have to email me or let me know how long you will be in Croatia….we may be coming for 4th of July!!

  • I am so excited for you! I’ve never been to Leeds, but I absolutely LOVE Edinburgh, so that’s my pick :)
No matter what you choose, though, you’re going to have oh so much fun! I can’t wait to follow along with your adventures!
    Glad you’re back :)

    • Thanks so much Sara! We officially decided on Edinburgh :) I’m so excited and can’t wait to be in the UK this fall!

  • Edinburgh, all the way. Leeds is …. nice, but Edinburgh is an amazing city, in part because you’ve got easy access to the north of Scotland, which is pretty awesome.

    • Thanks so much Sara! We officially decided on Edinburgh (!!!) so get your extra room ready for me in Durham :) I can’t wait to see you and hug Gwen!!!

  • My husband is in the process of applying for business schools at the moment. We’re hoping for one in London, or Manchester or perhaps Cambridge. Exciting stuff.

I’ve never been to Leeds, but I know it’s an amazing city. Edinburgh is just beautiful though – one of my favourite cities.

    • Ahhh so exciting! What kind of degree does he want?! I looked at Cambridge but they didn’t have the program I wanted. However, we officially decided on Edinburgh so maybe you and your husband will end up there (he should definitely look at Edinburgh’s business school!)

  • Congrats to you and your sister on getting into both schools! Such an exciting time for you- I have no idea how I would choose! Enjoy your time in Croatia, can’t wait to see more pictures and hear stories from your time there!

  • Congratulations! I have to vote for Edinburgh here because I am in love with Scotland. One of my work-stay host’s girls was attending the Uni in Leeds and they would always trash on Leeds as a town (and of course, the weather) so that’s really all I know about it, hah. But looks like you’ve already been there so you can probably make the right decision having seen both places! Good luck :)

    • hahaha well good thing we officially decided on Edinburgh!!!!!!! I absolutely love the city and how can you beat Scotland?! :)

  • My vote is on Edinburgh! Its such a fantastic city to live in!! How exciting to have the choice! (And EasyJet flies out of there so you know you can always still jet off when you need to.) I am so keen to get to Croatia so I’ll be reading closely to look for tips!

    • Thank you so much!!! We officially decided on Edinburgh because Scotland is amazing and you’re totally right…EasyJet all the way!!! Can’t wait to write more about Croatia :)

  • Ahhh I’m so excited for you! Congratulations! I’d probably go with Edinburgh, but Leeds is in a pretty appropriate location for exploring all of the UK… Edinburgh might have cheaper flights to other parts of Europe. Who knows, either one you go with will probably be amazing!

    • Thank you so much!!! We officially decided on Edinburgh :))) Even though Leeds has a better location, how can you pass up Scotland?! And yes, so many cheap flights from Edinburgh!!!
