I headed to Paris this past weekend with Margo, Melanie, Jen, and Alex! We had been talking about doing a blogger meet-up since this past fall so it was great for all of us to get together! I know Margo and Melanie pretty well because we all live(d) in Heidelberg (man, do I miss those girls and our coffee dates!) and I had met Jen on a previous trip to London. Even though this was my first time meeting Alex, I think we are going to be pretty good friends 🙂 Plus she lives in Aberdeen, Scotland so we will be neighbors next year!
We rented an adorable apartment in the neighborhood of Marais and I loved that this was such a relaxed weekend. We would walk a few blocks, eat, shop in a few stores, eat, walk a bit more, eat. You see the pattern? Biggest disappointment of the weekend: the newest J.Crew store in Paris. I was so excited to see it (I might have mentioned a few times on this blog that I’m J.Crew’s number one fan. Seriously, I only wear J.Crew). And then it was such a huge letdown: small store, inflated prices, none of the basics I love. Ughhh, Paris J.Crew…step up your game!
However, I had a wonderful time eating lots of bread, cheese, and chocolate while sipping yummy wine. It was so nice to just sit around our apartment in the evenings and talk about everything: our lives, expat life, traveling, and blog! Plus, Sara dropped by and visited us one evening. Thanks again girls for a great weekend! 🙂
Merci is quite possibly the cutest store although I felt bad for making everyone else wait while I bought tons of stationery!
I love hidden alleyways with lots of posters. You can really get a feel for a neighborhood!
Oh ya, did I mention we went on a gourmet food tour? More to come on that in a later blog post (happy Jordan = eating lots of sweets including this delicious apple pastry)

Missing Paris and you already! But I’m glad you’re coming back to HD for your graduation – Coffee Nerd just doesn’t seem right without you! I actually have a picture of Alex being totally disappointed in the J.Crew store – sorry that it was such a let down for you guys!
Ahhh lucky you, I lived in Paris for a while after I graduated and adored every second of it. Most envious of your weekend there, sounds like you had a fab time 🙂
